Data Deletion Instructions

1. Introduction

This page explains how you can ask Business Haven Consultancy (“Business Haven”, “we” or “us”) to delete personal data we hold about you, including data connected with our WhatsApp Business communications. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2. Types of Data Covered

A deletion request can cover personal data that Business Haven controls, such as:

  • your name, company details and contact details in our client records;
  • your telephone or WhatsApp number and your communication preferences;
  • copies of WhatsApp, email and website-form conversations held in our business systems;
  • enquiry and newsletter data submitted through our website.

3. How to Submit a Deletion Request

Send an email to hello@business-haven.com with the subject line:

Personal Data Deletion Request

In your email, please include:

  • your full name and, if relevant, your company name;
  • the telephone or WhatsApp number and/or email address linked to your records with us;
  • a short description of the data you want deleted (for example, “all my data” or “my WhatsApp conversation history”).

You can also tell us in a WhatsApp message to our business number (+20 110 100 0789) that you want to request deletion, and we will guide you through the process.

4. Identity Verification

To protect your data, we need to confirm that the request comes from you or from someone authorised to act for you. We will usually do this by contacting you through the telephone number, WhatsApp number or email address already linked to your records.

Please do not send passwords, payment card details or copies of identity documents by ordinary email. If additional verification is genuinely needed, we will explain a secure way to provide it.

5. How Requests Are Processed

  • We acknowledge your request after we receive it.
  • We verify your identity as described above.
  • We locate the personal data linked to the contact details you provided across the systems we use.
  • We delete or anonymise the data that we are not required to keep, and tell you if any data must be retained and why.
  • We confirm to you in writing when the request has been completed.

We will respond within a reasonable time and within any period required by applicable law.

7. WhatsApp Communication Records

Business Haven can delete the copies of WhatsApp conversations and related data stored in our own business systems, subject to the exceptions in Section 6.

WhatsApp itself is operated by Meta. Messages stored on your own device, and data that Meta holds about your WhatsApp account, are controlled by you and by Meta, not by Business Haven. To manage or delete that data, use the settings in your WhatsApp app or follow WhatsApp’s own instructions for deleting your account and data. A deletion request sent to us does not delete your WhatsApp account or messages held by Meta.

8. Stopping Optional WhatsApp Messages

If you no longer wish to receive optional WhatsApp messages from us, reply to any of our messages to tell us, or contact us using the details below. We will update your preferences in our records.

Please note that stopping optional messages does not cancel any amount you owe us. We may still contact you through other appropriate channels about services or invoices between us.
